Gabrielle Tenenbaum is a Producer with The Documentary Group and one of its founding members. She produced the critically acclaimed To Iraq and Back: Bob Woodruff Reports which aired on ABC News. The hour-long, primetime documentary chronicled Woodruff’s traumatic brain injury, his painstaking recovery, and the plight of thousands of service members returning from war with similar injuries and struggling to get the care they need. The program was recognized with a George Foster Peabody Award for broadcast excellence.

Prior to To Iraq and Back, Gabrielle was a producer on STEEP, a theatrically released documentary about the world of big mountain skiing. The film was an official selection at The Tribeca Film Festival and Telluride Film Festival and was distributed by SONY Pictures Classics.

Gabrielle joined Tom Yellin and the Peter Jennings’ Production unit in 1998 as an Associate Producer on the award winning series The Century. Over the course of the next eight years, she worked with Peter Jennings on over a dozen films for his highly acclaimed documentary series Peter Jennings Reporting. She produced the two-hour program UFOs: Seeing is Believing, the first HD documentary to air on the ABC Network, The Kennedy Assassination: Beyond Conspiracy which won the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Documentary and Answering Children’s Questions which won a DuPont award from the Columbia School of Journalism.

Additional projects include: Peter Jennings Reporting: Dark Horizons, India, Pakistan and the Bomb; Peter Jennings Reporting: Family Business; In Search of America: Call of the Wild; Peter Jennings Reporting: Minefield.

Prior to joining ABC, Gabrielle worked on several award-winning documentaries for PBS, including American Experience: Klondike Gold Rush and American Masters: Don Hewitt, 90 Minutes on 60 Minutes.

She is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with a degree in English and Communications and currently resides in New York City.
